coagulating
we reminisce over the cause of death,
investigate the shadows
of a nuclear fallout.

nothing survives
but the dark imprints of the past;
they reveal our secrets,
expose every weakness.

fractured pieces of imperfect lives,
concrete albums lost in the self-destruction,
written on the inside of our eyelids
while life sucks venom from deep wounds.
*
in death, we embrace love.
in life, we embrace death.
